Back in 1965 I first read a book by Dr. D.C. Jarvis called Vermont Folk Medicine. It was most likely the best book I ever read about natural cures. It remain one of my favorite books because of its simplicity and straightforward methods.

He details how he cured so many maladies with a simple solution(s)...apple cider vinegar and honey. He used these to cure everything from morning sickness to arthritis. I still recommend using the combination to "fix" acid reflux. Yup. It works.

Dr. Jarvis was ahead of his time (or behind, depending upon your view) and his book is available here from Amazon. It is probably in its 100th reprinting. But, it's worth the 7 bucks.

IBS and Colon problems

Q. What causes IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)?
Like many colon diseases (diverticulosis, diverticulitis, Crohn’s Disease, leaky gut) the primary cause is the Standard American Diet and the overuse of antibiotics. Because our food supply is full of antibiotics and dangerous chemicals, it really is a wonder that the entire U.S. population hasn’t succumbed to this.

These additives reduce the friendly flora in the colon thus causing these diseases. The first answer is to avoid antibiotics whenever possible. That means eating as organic as possible and avoiding foods that contain chemicals and or derivatives such as MSG (which now goes under the pseudonym of partially hydrolyzed soybean oil). There are also new foods on the market that can also contribute to this and these are the GMO or genetically modified foods that are appearing more frequently. These foods incidentally, are not regulated by the FDA so it is up to the consumer to beware. READ LABELS!

Q. How do we get parasites and how do we keep from getting reinfected? Which supplements do you recommend for ongoing maintenance?
First, undercooked or raw foods are a huge culprit. That means steak tartar and sushi are high on my list of “no-no” foods. These make me want to pull out my hair. Parasites, of course, are killed by high cooking temperatures so cook your food!

That caveat applies to salads, as well. This is especially true of salads in restaurants. In a survey done some ten years ago by the FDA, 100 restaurant salads were checked and every single one had human fecal material. Restaurants are a notorious source of parasitic infections.

Some parasites enter the body through the soles of our feet, through orifices in the body when swimming in contaminated water (9 young boys under 13 died last year alone swimming in the warm water lakes of Arizona and becoming infected by a parasite that entered the ears).

Drinking water that is “treated” can also be an issue. Standard methods of water treatment such as chlorine will not kill pathogenic parasites like cryptosporidium. Hundreds of people die each year due to cryptosporidium in the water supply. Drink only water you know for certain is pure and labeled as such. Your own treatment system is a plus especially if it treats with reverse osmosis and UV.

For ongoing maintenance, I suggest (after an initial cleanse of 90 days), a 7 day cleanse every 6 months. We use Cumanda, but you may also use Black Walnut Hull tincture with wormwood and both are effective. Cumanda is a bit more broad spectrum for sor some of the more exotic critters.

Q. How about information about stopping free radical damage and candida removal?
Free radicals are part of the natural healing process of the body. However, when free radicals go crazy, they can cause premature aging and diseases such as cancer.

Free radical damage occurs when the body cannot properly utilize oxygen. The oxygen left behind in the system attaches itself to the red blood cells and causes a breakdown in their ability to perform their function in the system and this is called oxidation.

This occurs when we exercise, eat chemical laden foods, exposure to pesticides, radiation or during an illness like a simple cold. This is why taking antioxidants like vitamin C, grapeseed extract, SOD (Super oxide dismutase) etc., is so important, especially to athletes. Regardless of what mainstream media reports, taking supplements can and does reverse many illnesses. Plavix Warning

The FDA has now issued a warning regarding Plavix. Some patients may not metabolize this drug properly and it may increase the risk of heart attack and stroke. This "black box" warning is the strongest warning the FDA can place on a label and the patient needs to have a DNA check to ascertain the dangers.

Yeah, that's going to happen!

Curing the Incurable

Recently (this morning) I had another client call in tears. Her doctor had diagnosed her with discoid Lupus, an incurable disease. Her doctor told her that she had to see a rheumatologist who would most likely put her on Methotrexate or Remicaid. Both of these have as a side effect, sudden death. That's encouraging. You can die from the cause or the cure.

Now, my first response to her was to calm her down and ask her to ask her doctor "What can you cure?" The answer for those of you going on Jeopardy, is NOTHING! Have you ever known a physician that cured anything? This is a phramaceutical world, folks. Cure is NOT in their vocabulary. Control is.

Lupus and many other so called incurable diseases are may times caused by mycoplasma infections. I have studied mycoplasma infections for nearly 30 years and I am still amazed at how many doctors have no idea what they are, so let me explain (again) what a mycoplasma is in a very short version. According to Taber's Medical Dictionary, "Mycoplasma are a group of bacteria that lack cell walls and are highly pleomorphic." First, they are not bacteria. Pleomorphic means they have the ability to change shape and form. In other words, they can change and act like a virus OR a bacteria.

They do not respond to antibiotics. They will however, respond to several natural substances such as a good colloidal silver such as Sovereign Silver (make sure you use this brand) or certain brands of olive leaf extract such as Barlean's Olive Leaf Complex.

The infection is reversible and Doctors like Garth Nicolson and others do it all the time. They do respond to various other therapies such as hyperbaric and BioWave Rife generators.

The drug companies smarten up

No one can say the drug companies aren't doing their homework. Anyone who has seen a drug commercial has to be amazed at how many side effects are mentioned...unless you are totally brain dead while you watch some gent happily playing ball with his grandson after taking some medication that has the potential to kill him.

Well, Big Pharma has unveiled their new approach...NO COMMERCIALS! That's right. What they are doing now (and I think this will be the new trend) is presenting their commercials as Public Service Announcements.

While an "interviewer" talks to a doctor in front of a microphone "Tell me doctor, what is PAD?" The doctor responds with all the problems associated with PAD.

"So doctor," the interviewer responds "What does someone do for PAD?"

"Well, for more information regarding this potentially life threatening disease, go to our website and read more about treatment options."

The beauty of this so called public service announcement is that the drug companies do not have to tell you the side effects of the drugs since they are not talking specifically about a drug. They are just informing you and the side effects are now neatly nestled within the website. Cool, huh?

Soon, you will see these PSA's (public service announcements) all over television and in the print media. Now, you have no reason to throw a tantrum about the drug's side effects because these nice people have circumvented that little difficulty by avoiding the drug and concentrating on the disease.

You have to love the 21st Century. Oh, and if you don't have internet service, trust your doctor. After all, he prescribes what the drug companies tell him to and they have your best interest at heart. Well, you and their stock holders.

Alternative therapists have long held that cancer can be beaten using herbals and enzymes. This is particularly true when it comes to pancreatic cancer often considered incurable.

Of particular note is the long held belief by many physicians that herbals are useless against disease even though most pharmaceuticals are derived from plants. I even had one patient's doctor say "There is no evidence that herbs are effective and besides, 90% of our drugs are derived from herbs." More Dangerous than MRSA

There is so much to report that it is almost too much for a Monday.

First, there are now emerging super bugs, bacteria that are totally resistant to ANY antibiotics. Two of these are Acinetobacter and Klebsiella pneumoniae. These are deadly and, according to the Centers for Disease Control, estimates that roughly 1.7 million hospital-associated infections, from all types of bacteria combined, cause or contribute to 99,000 deaths each year. We have been warning doctors and hospitals for years that we have been creating super bugs that would eventually outstrip our ability to kill them due to the bacterial phenomenon called pleomorphism. That is the ability of bacteria to change and/or adapt to antibiotics by incorporating the antibiotics into their DNA.

What happened to the Swine flu PANDEMIC?

Anyone heard anything lately about the swine flu pandemic? Funny, me either. Maybe we all got vaccinations? Not according to the CDC. In fact, vaccinations have been given to so few that most counties, states and countries are sending back their supplies to the pharmaceutical companies.

Is it possible that the Swine Flu was less of a pandemic than the World Health Organization advertised. In fact, several countries in Europe and Asia are mounting their own investigations into the World Health Organization and Big Pharma.

Could it be, they ask, that it was a fraud?

It also turns out that the swine flu was actually less virulent than the seasonal flu. Hmmmmm. May I suggest you read this article from the Wall Street Journal and decide for yourself how the pharmaceutical companies handled the research.

And then, while you're at it, think about how many people die everyday from taking their dangerous drugs. It isn't that pharmaceuticals aren't important in very limited situations, but they certainly bear scrutiny by patients because many of these drugs are downright killers.

Your FDA is not doing its job. You have to take responsibility for your body.

Tamiflu - medical equivalent of a mirage.

After all that has been written about the so-called pandemic, I am still asked by many if they should get the flu shot.

When are we ever going to learn that the government, the FDA and Big Pharma are in collusion with each other? The citizen's welfare is not the government's concern. The citizen is a commodity to be exploited.

Finally, The Atlantic Magazine has written an expose of the Tamiflu mirage and I hope that everyone reads this (click here) because we are about to have another mirage crammed down our collective throats. Government run healthcare.

There is hope, however in the grassroots movement of tea parties and I hope that more Americans will join in and be part of this movement ala Nouveau American Revolution. Otherwise, we will get exactly what we bargain for...monarchy.

This country is run by, at the least, attorneys who create chaos at our expense. The 13th amendment was ReWritten to include lawyers when it originally excluded any person with a title...and that includes esquire.

Any wonder we hate lawyers more than used car dealers?

Mammography "avoidable risk of breast cancer."

Well, here it is...Thanksgiving. We have been a bit preoccupied lately and I want to apologize for the delay. Foremost, I want to wish all of our supporters, a truly thankful holiday. We know how so many are suffering from this "downturn" but be thankful we are here and not somewhere where it is really bad.

This week all across the country the Komen Foundation sponsored a three day Breast Cancer Research walk. More mony for research that proves nothing and only puts money in the coffers of the cancer industry. The women are incredibly committed, but the cause is flawed. If there was no more money in research a cure would be that much closer.

That being said, I did want to emphasize the importance of not having a mammogram done. This week, there was a huge backlash from the press for reporting that women from 40 on did not need a mammogram annually. The backlash only shows how hard the industry will fight to preserve its on agenda.

I strongly suggest you all read the following article and see what so may of us have already known and preached for so long. Additionally, Thermography is a real alternative. No pain. No radiation. Interpreting lab results.

So many folks bring in their lab results, I thought it might be a good idea to help explain what some of the results mean so you can have a better idea of what you are looking at.

A CBC (complete blood count) report will include the following:

Platelet count and wat it means:
Platelets or thrombocytes help stop bleeding. They look like little pieces of torn paper under the microscope. The measurement in a CBC should be in the range of 150 to 400. Problems can signal thrombocytopenia (too few platelets), leukemia, or drug side effects.

HGB (hemoglobin value):
Hemoglobin is the protein that carried oxygen and you will see this way; g/dl or grams per decaliter. The range for men is 13.5 to 17.5 and 12 to 16 for women. When hemoglobin is low the body cannot carry oxygen and may result in fatigue.

HCT (hematocrit value):
This number is the percentage of your blood that consists of red blood cells (RBC's). A decrease in HCT indicates anemia, bleeding, some cancers, and chemotherapy side effcts. (This also applies to HGB)

RBC count (red blood cells):
In men a normal RBC count in men is 4.5 to 6 for men and 4.2 to 5.4 for women. It may sound simplistic but the function of RBC's is to carry oxygen to the tissues and carry off carbon dioxide. Too few and blood gases like CO2 are not carried off properly.

WBC count (white blood cells or leukocytes):
WBC's are your body's army that fight off invaders. Normal in a CBC is 4 to 11. There are differential counts and absolute counts. A decrease in any of these can signal serious problems like bone marrow failure or infections. However, it is important to differentiate which WBC's are being counted. For example, eosinophils signal a parasitic infection and/or allergies or both.

You should know these simple few abbreviations because too often your PCP may not have the time to devote to interpreting these for you. Also, since these tests are performed by automated equipment, ask your doctor if the lab is reliable. It can be a huge difference in your treatment.

Is Botox safe? YIKES!

One of my dear ladies called today and asked me what I thought of Botox. My response was somewhere between incredulity and utter horror! I still find it incredible to believe that this "treatment" was actually approved by our friends at the FDA. I am further amazed that people actually allow this to be done. Oh, please dear God preserve us from ourselves.

I should mention that this lady wasn't asking because she wanted to do it. She was asking because her "friends" said she should do it! With friends like this you really don't need enemies. So let me explain first what it is.

It is the most acutely toxic substance known to man, with a median lethal dose of about 1 ng/kg when introduced intravenously[10] and 3 ng/kg when inhaled. This means that, depending on the method of introduction into the body, a mere 90–270 nanograms of botulinum toxin could be enough to kill an average 90 kg (200 lb) person.

Just to explain that a bit. A nanogram is a billionth of a gram! It takes 32 grams to make an ounce!

Food-borne botulism usually results from ingestion of food that has become contaminated with spores (such as a perforated can) in an anaerobic environment, allowing the spores to germinate and grow. Remember when your mom wouldn't but dented cans? That was a huge "NO NO."

The growing (vegetative) bacteria produce toxin. It is the ingestion of preformed toxin that causes botulism, not the ingestion of the spores or the vegetative bacteria. Infant and wound botulism both result from infection with spores which subsequently germinate, resulting in production of toxin and the symptoms of botulism.

Researchers "discovered" in the 1950s that injecting overactive muscles with minute quantities of botulinum toxin type-A would result in decreased muscle activity by blocking the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction, thereby rendering the muscle unable to contract for up to a period of 3 to 4 months. In other words, your muscle tissue is rendered useless. It is paralyzed! Why not simply hire an Amazonian Indian to shoot you with curare?

Alan Scott, a San Francisco ophthalmologist, first applied tiny doses of the toxin in a medicinal sense to treat 'crossed eyes' (strabismus) and 'uncontrollable blinking' (blepharospasm), but needed a partner to gain regulatory approval to market his discovery as a drug. Allergan renamed the drug Botox.

As of 2007, Botox injection is the most common cosmetic operation, with 4.6 million procedures in the United States, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Qualifications for Botox injectors vary by county, state and country. Botox Cosmetic providers include dermatologists, plastic surgeons, cosmetic physicians, nurses practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, and medical spas.

No one has looked at the long term effects of being continually shot up with a poison. No one has researched the effects of this "safe neutralized" deadly poison over any period of time. As long as we can seek the Holy Grail of beauty, the gloves are off and safety be damned.

Do you realize that one 32 gram dose of botulinum dropped into a city water supply could literally wipe out an entire population of a major city in a few days? But, at least you'll be wrinkle free when you die.

C'mon folks. How far have we gone in the search for beauty? If we spent this kind of time on cancer "cures" we would all be healthy...wrinkled maybe but healthy. Are we really this depraved that we put poison in our bodies without question?

On Tuesday, the Senate health committee voted 12-11 in favor of a two-page amendment, courtesy of Republican Tom Coburn which would require all Members of Congress and their staff members to enroll in any new government-run health plan.

Congressman John Fleming has proposed an amendment that would require Congressmen and Senators to take the same health care plan that they would force on us. (Under proposed legislation they are exempt.)

Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go to his Website and sign his petition. The process is very simple. I have done just that at:

Parasite Paradigm

I can't count the times that people have come to me with "issues" such as digestion problems, skin eruptions like acne and psoriasis, asthma, rashes and other "undiagnosed" conditions. Yet, their doctors just scratch their heads because we all "know" that we don't have parasites in the U.S.

Seeing parasites in the blood is also dismissed as "silly science" and "pseudo science" by doctors who have not been trained in even the most elementary studies of parasitology. Parasitology has been historically relegated to the study of "tropical" disease.

I am so tired of trying to "educate" the medical field, I thought it high time I give you some basic information that you can take to your doctor. Well, you can lead a horse to water but yada yada yada. But, at least you will be informed and can pass along the information to your family and friends.

Yes, Margaret, there are parasites in the U.S. There are even some pretty exotic ones to boot.
So take a look at this long but educational video by a very well known parasitologist.

Chronic Disease and Root Canals

Sometimes there is little difference between an epiphany and a simple "Duh!" I had a "duh" yesterday! So, for those who may think I am infallible, I am about to throw that one out the window (but without the baby.)

A gentleman had come to see me last year and was suffering with a "neurological" problem of unknown origin. He had been a fit mountain climbing, hiking and golfing individual who was suddenly unable to walk. We checked for Lyme. We checked for parasites. We checked pretty much everything we could. Nothing! Well, we did see heavy metal toxins.

It was so exasperating this man even did the Aruyvedic thing in India! No help.

Yesterday, heavy metals showed again and I asked about root canals and/or amalgam fillings. "Oh my mercury levels are off the chart. I do have three root canals."

My response? "Duh!"

We had been looking in all the wrong places. If you know of anyone that has been diagnosed with neurological disorders of unknown cause then you need to pass this along!

According to many scientists and doctors, especially Dr. James Howensteine, M.D. "Many chronic diseases, perhaps most, are a result of root canal surgery. Approximately 20,000,000 root canal operations are performed annually in the United States."

Now I know, I'm going to tick off a lot of my dentist friends, but the truth is the truth.

Dr. Price Pottinger learned after thousands of animal studies that a root canal tooth is always infected regardless of it’s appearance and lack of symptoms. When Dr. Price took a root canal tooth out of a patient who had a chronic disease and placed this tooth in an animal the patient became well and the animal developed the same illness the patient had previously suffered from. If the patient had rheumatoid arthritis the animal became afflicted with RA. When the patient had heart disease the animal developed heart disease. The tooth from a patient with kidney disease produced an animal with kidney disease!

I am also fortunate enough to have done some video work with Dr. David Kennedy, the producer of the YouTube video "Smoking teeth -poison gas." We have produced a soon to be released YouTube video about spirochetes (Lyme disease) and infected teeth. Dr. Kennedy and I videotaped a series of one patient with spirochetes and the video is absolutely eye popping.

The point of all this is two fold...well maybe four fold. Always look for the obvious (Listen up Hugh!); hopefully others will be healed by removing these dangerous mercury laden procedures;
read, read, read!; and warn others.

COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder)

I have been seeing many more COPD sufferers lately. I am amazed at the numbers who are non-smokers. But, before I get too far, let me define COPD.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), often called "smoker's lung," is mainly a smoking-related lung disease characterized by airflow obstruction, and includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It is the fourth leading cause of death in the United States. Symptoms of COPD range from slight breathlessness to severe breathlessness that limits activities of daily living, such as getting dressed, walking up stairs, and going shopping.

It is absolutely scary!

I have a great deal of success with COPD sufferers using anti-oxidants and such. With the increased numbers of people I have been seeing, I decided that it was time to finally come out with a product that directly addresses the issue of COPD. I am in the process right now of getting quotes from my lab and the product will be available (hopefully) by January 2010.

The product (whose name I haven't settled on as yet) is the culmination of not only my research, but that of several herbal labs. If it does as I expect, it may turn out to be the best thing I've done since TrimaZyme.

Another option for COPD would also be the BioWave Generator with the Asthma Chip. This inexpensive device from Germany has proved to be invaluable for COPD sufferers. With these two products I believe we may be on the road to reversing another "incurable" disease.

MRSA

I have written quite a lot about MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) but it is still a relatively misunderstood and seriously misdiagnosed infection. It is estimated that more than 10% of the U.S. population is infected with MRSA or are carriers. We are seeing a huge increase in infections that people do not even realize they have.

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a bacterium that causes infections in different parts of the body. It's tougher to treat than most strains of staphylococcus aureus -- or staph -- because it's resistant to some commonly used antibiotics.

The symptoms of MRSA depend on where you're infected. Most often, it causes mild infections on the skin, causing pimples or boils. But it can also cause more serious skin infections or infect surgical wounds, the bloodstream, the lungs, or the urinary tract.

MRSA is also showing up in healthy people who have not been living in the hospital. This type of MRSA is called community-associated MRSA, or CA-MRSA. The CDC reports that in 2007, 14% of people with MRSA infections had CA-MRSA.

Studies have shown that rates of CA-MRSA infection are growing fast. One study of children in south Texas found that cases of CA-MRSA had a 14-fold increase between 1999 and 2001.

Part of the problem is that we refuse to look at the fact that as we continue to overuse antibiotics, MRSA and other bacteria will continue to morph and feed on antibiotics.

One can be infected by simply touching an area such as doorknobs, gym equipment, towels, etc. If you are using a gym, please wipe down the equipment before you use it with a sterile towelette. Always use the wipes at supermarkets for the carts. Keep an eye on your kids for signs of infection which can be something as simple as what appears to be a red "bite" mark, rashes, etc.

Prevention is always better than treatment, but historically the best treatment has always been something staph cannot adapt to...high quality and safe silver hydrosol. Our favorite that we keep around the house is Sovereign Silver. It is effective and absolutely safe.

Keep your eyes open.

Hormones...What your doctor probably won't tell you.

I am constantly amazed at how many people, men and women, who come to see me that have been diagnosed with some exotic disease only to find out that their hormones are out of balance.

Our entire lives are controlled by hormones yet, more often than not, if you go to an endocrinologist (a doctor specializing in hormones) they simply check the symptom and throw a pill at you. OK, I am probably playing the same broken record here, but do you really want this as a national health care plan? More of them same and get fined if you don't want it?

So let's talk a bit about hormones and what the imbalance(s) can affect.

Your body is an incredible creation. It gives warnings and alarm "bells" all the time. Some of those alarms are such things as low libido, increased weight gain (especially around the tummy and butt), hot flashes (I prefer to call them "power surges"), breast tenderness, mood swings, decreased stamina, decreased muscle size, rapid aging, osteoporosis, hearling loss and about 40 other symptoms not usually associated with a "simple" hormone imbalance.

I recommend that every man and woman over 35 get a saliva test every year. My lab of choice is ZRT labs in Beaverton, Oregon. (If you live in California or New York, you will have to have a practitioner, RN, PA, chiropractor, acupuncturist, etc.) order the kit for you.

Please check your Estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol and DHEA. These tests will usually run about $150.00 and it's the best $150.00 you'll ever spend on your health. SInce your doctor probably won;t do it, you'll have to.

Your practitioner will interpret the rather simple results for you and most likely recommend a natural course to take. (We'll talk more about so-called Bio-identical hormone treatments in another entry.)

Why saliva and not a blood test?

I have several very good friends who are medical doctors and we go round and round about this one. Remember! I'm a blood guy, but I think that saliva is much more accurate and here's why.

Sex hormones such as progesterone, estrogen and testosterone are fat-soluble steroids similar to cholesterol that attach to lipids in the blood and get stored in fat tissue.

Only 2 to 5 percent of serum progesterone, estrogen and testosterone is "free" or non-protein-bound. This is the hormone available to target tissues and to saliva. Thus, these hormones measured by serum levels is mostly a measure of hormones that are not going to be used by the body and is therefore an erroneous calculation for our purposes.

Hormones transported by red blood cell membranes are readily available to all target tissues and to saliva. This progesterone is completely bioavailable and readily measured by saliva testing. Only a small fraction of it is carried by the watery serum. Obviously, serum testing is not a good way to measure transdermal progesterone absorption.

What I am saying about hormone transdermals also applies to other creams, as well.

I suggest you read What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause available through Amazon. This will explain in great detail what I trying to say here in a short blog.

You will be amazed at how many so called diseases (like Hashimoto's) is not a disease at all but a hormone imbalance.

Now, I know I only covered the basics, but unless you do the research, your doctor probably will not diagnose or treat the proper symptom. How many young women and teenage girls are thrown birth control pills when indeed that simply increases the risk of breast and lung cancer.

I am not saying your doctor is ignorant or stupid. I am only saying that they are overwhelmed by the system and really haven't the time to practice medicine anymore. If you want more of this medicine, then by all means let Congress run ahead with a system that isn't working.

But, please, please read and do your due diligence. It's your body.

The Great Cover Up

People fighting depression have a few alternatives; determine the source of the depression and address that issue or turn to drugs.

Depression caused by loss of a loved one is normal and may require simple time to "heal all wounds." Friends don't hurt either.

Depression of unknown source is most often caused by a physiological problem such as a drop in B12 and folic acid. More often than not, this is preceded by anti biotic use which will drop your B12 and folic acid. Address the issue and not the symptom by treating your colon right. Yep. It's not in your head but your gut.

Most often, Leaky Gut Syndrome is the cause and should be addressed accordingly.

Finally, you can opt for pharmaceuticals. But, before you do, please read the warnings. Here is the FDA black box warning for Cymbalta.

WARNING: SUICIDALITY AND ANTIDEPRESSANT DRUGS

Antidepressants increased the risk compared to placebo of suicidal thinking and behavior (suicidality) in children, adolescents, and young adults in short-term studies of major depressive disorder (MDD) and other psychiatric disorders. Anyone considering the use of Cymbalta or any other antidepressant in a child, adolescent, or young adult must balance this risk with the clinical need. Short-term studies did not show an increase in the risk of suicidality with antidepressants compared to placebo in adults beyond age 24; there was a reduction in risk with antidepressants compared to placebo in adults aged 65 and older. Depression and certain other psychiatric disorders are themselves associated with increases in the risk of suicide. Patients of all ages who are started on antidepressant therapy should be monitored appropriately and observed closely for clinical worsening, suicidality, or unusual changes in behavior. Families and caregivers should be advised of the need for close observation and communication with the prescriber. Cymbalta is not approved for use in pediatric patients.

Yikes! Anti depressants? Suicide? Let me see is suicide a depressive episode or just an "adverse event?" Oh well, your insurance will cover it.

Non-invasive approved cancer tests.

The Cancer Answer...baking soda.

In 1972, President Richard Nixon, declared war on cancer and that "we will have a cure by the end of the decade." Well, over 30 years later, we are not only not any closer to a cure, we are simply using chemicals, radiation and surgery as methods of reversing cancer. The medical establishment never uses the word cure. Their word is "remission" because these methods do not cure.

The medical explanation of a cure is no re occurance in 5 years. After billions of dollars have been spent researching this disease, we are no closer to a cure because this disease, like all diseases, is a money making cash cow. Millions of people every year give money for research which will never accomplish anything. One doctor Tullio Simoncini has had incredible results.

Dr Tullio Simoncini has postulated (with huge amounts of research) that cancer is caused by candidiasis albicans. His theory is that "cancer doesn't depend on mysterious causes (genetic, immunological or auto-immunological, as the official oncology proposes), but it results from a simple fungal infection whose destroying power in the deep tissues is actually underestimated."

I have always subscribed to the theory referred to as Ocham's Razor. Simply stated "The simple answer is always the solution." This could not be more evident in Dr. Simoncini's theory that C. Albicans is the culprit.

Unfortunately, candida albicans (a normal part of the flora in the colon) in the blood stream is a very common condition caused by 4 common situations; chemicals, diet, radiation and stress. These factors can cause the colon to become compromised and, in effect, disarms the immune system.

We see this "leaky gut syndrome" in 90% of our clients. It is almost always the condition we address most often.

To quote Dr. Simoncini again "In the fungal perspective, in fact, the effectiveness of surgery is noticeably reduced because of the extreme diffusibility and invasiveness characteristic of a mycelial conglomerate. Surgery to solve the problem is therefore tied to the case; that is, to conditions in which one has the luck to be able to remove the entire colony completely (which is often possible in the presence of a sufficient encystment, but only where benign tumours are concerned).

Chemotherapy and radiotherapy produce almost exclusively negative effects, both for their specific ineffectiveness and for their high toxicity and harmfulness to the tissues, which in the last analysis favours mycotic aggressiveness.

By contrast, an antifungal, anti-tumour-specific therapy would take into account the importance of the connective tissue together with the reproductive complexity of fungi. Only by attacking the fungi across the spectrum of all its forms, at points where it is most vulnerable from the nutritional point of view, would it be possible to hope to eradicate them from the human organism."

I strongly suggest that you take a look at his website for his treatment options. Look here for that information. His treatment is very simple and is a simple approach similar to suggestions that we make regarding cancer...sodium bicarbonate. It's that simple.

The implications of his research would mean the following:

1) eighty years of genetic study and application has been for nothing, especially considering that the genetic theory of cancer has never been demonstrated;
2) the loss of millions, if not billions, of lives with all the suffering has been for nothing;
3) the billions of dollars spent on chemotherapy medicine, radiotherapy, etc. has been for nothing;
4) the recognition and prizes given to eminent researchers and professors has been for nothing;
5) the oncologist could be replaced by the family doctor; and
6) the pharmaceutical industry will incur tremendous financial losses (sodium bicarbonate is inexpensive and impossible to patent).

Dr. Simoncicni's methods have cured people for 20 years. Many of his patients recovered completely from cancer, even in cases where official oncology had given up.

The simple answer is usually the solution (that solution being bicarbonate of soda!)

Time to wake up America. Cancer can be cured. It's being done in many countries but as long as we continue to feed the trough of research we will never find a cure.

MS should mean Money Spent

Multiple Sclerosis is one of, if not the most, misdiagnosed disorders today. It is a terrible disease and one with which I am intimately familiar. It was my wife's MS that started my journey in blood.
(She still has no sign of MS after 30 years.)

What causes MS is known, regardless of what you have been told. Lida Mattman, in her seminal book "Cell Wall Deficient Forms...Stealth Pathogens" discovered the cause and subsequent cure for her daughter's MS. After her research book was published, she mentioned to a group of assembled doctors that "Our not telling people what causes MS is criminal." The next day they attempted to have her removed from her Emeritus chair at Wayne State University.

Her book is available here from Amazon. I promise you at $175.00 and it's deep scientific language it is not Saturday night reading. But, the truth isn't cheap.

So much for truth in research. Every time someone comes calling for the March on MS I turn them away. Every time someone in a grocery store checkout asks for money, I turn them down. It infuriates me to no end that the truth is not the goal...money is.

One would think that after throwing billions after billions at cancer and Multiple Sclerosis we might be closer to a cure. Unfortunately for the millions who suffer from these diseases a cure is not in the offing...at least from Big Pharma. Money and not cure is the motivator.

So, Lida Mattman was the grand ole Dame of Mycoplasma research. She set many of us on the trail of truth. Her discovery that mycoplasma brucellosis is the cause of MS was ground breaking yet it still remains in the murky shadows of news. One would think that doctors would praise the answers and search out the cure, but nothing yet.

So let me explain these little "critters" in a very short way. I don't have the space here but read Dr. Mattman's book for details.

In nature, all cells have a cell wall...like you and me. We call our cell wall skin. Sticking out of our skin are tiny hairs or, in the microbiological world, receptors. These receptors are the handy dandy "guides" or "buoys" that give our immune system their direction. Well, millions of years ago mycoplasma and other Cell Wall Deficient Forms (CWD's for short) took off their skin taking their receptors off, as well.

In doing this, they became effectively invisible to the macrophages (white cells) in your body. But the real havoc comes not from the pathogen itself but from your immune response doing exactly what nature intended it to do. But, having no distinct "buoy" to guide it, the t-cells begin spraying hydrogen peroxidase all over the place, especially the myelin sheath, attempting to destroy the invader. This is the so-called auto immune response. It isn't what we are told...the body is not attacking itself. It is attacking a stealthy invader.

As the myelin sheath is compromised (like an electrical wire insulation being destroyed) the typical MS symptoms begin to show. Hormones go haywire, shakes and numbness increase, etc.
In many cases, extreme debilitation and often death ensue.

Sadly, there is no reason for this.

First, let me say that this is simply my experience with my wife and not intended as medical advice. For information, please seek the help of a medical doctor.

It is important to understand CWD's. There are hundreds and many will simulate each other. Borellia Burgdorferi (Lyme disease) or spirochetes will evoke the same response as m. brucellosis. Some parasites will also cause the same symptoms. For example, Toxoplasma gondii will and does cause many of the same symptoms.

There is only one definitive test for m. brucellosis and that is a PCR or polymerase chain reaction. Since CWD's are neither viral or bacterial they will not culture like strep' or H1N1.

Second, regardless of what we are told, CWD's, by and large, will not respond well to anti biotics. So one must find a way to attack them that is outside the realm of most Western pharmaceuticals...and these are the ones we used.

We used colloidal silver. The brand we use is Sovereign Silver which can be purchased here). It is perfectly safe and can be used for long periods of time without any side effects at all. We used 1 tablespoon 6x daily followed by 2 probiotics at night. Pathogens cannot exist in the presence of silver. This was what doctors used for years in newborn's eyes and NASA uses it today for Astronaut's shirts to prevent bacterial odor. The FDA has tried to have it removed from the Health Food stores (wonderment.)

The dosage was for an extended period of more than 6 months. We also supplemented with lecithin to re-build the myelin sheath. We also supplemented with pregnenolone to help rebuild the myelin sheath.

Your body is equipped with an amazing ability to repair itself and repair of the myelin sheath is carried out by Schwann cells. But, these little guys require progesterone as fuel. What happens is the body begins to deplete it's hormonal reserves and one of the first things MS people notice is a drop in libido. It needs the fuel to repair.

We used 100mg of pregnenolone in the evening.

There are many other ways to do this, but this is the simplified version.

Ok. We had to determine if she actually had MS. Lyme and parasites will mimic MS. So make sure you actually have m. brucellosis and NO you do not need a spinal tap or MRI! A simple PCR is sufficient.

The trickiest part is convincing your doctor that you now know something he doesn't or wasn't taught. For that my freinds, I wish you luck. But, feel free to contact me if you need more details.

Lyme Disease; the real epidemic.

I don't know about you but I've heard enough about avian and swine flu to be almost numb. But, there is a true epidemic in this country; Lyme Disease. Over 200,000 people are infected with Lyme every year! That is a huge number of sufferers from this debilitating disease.

Most people know that Lyme is caused by a tick bite. That is partly true. Lyme is a result of an infection by a spirochete or Borellia Burgdorferi or Bb for short. But, most people infected with Lyme do not recall being bitten by a tick according to the Centers for Disease Control. Unfortunately, that's as far as they go. The truth is the main vector (carrier) for Lyme is milk. (This is why, for example, that the Wisconsin area is often referred to as The MS Belt.)

When I tell my clients this, they usually respond with "I only drink organic milk." It doesn't matter whether it's organic or not. The risk is still there. It also doesn't matter anymore where you live because Lyme has spread from its original site in Old Lyme, Connecticutt to as far away as the West Coast.

We can thank our friends at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the U.S. Air Force for inventing this. You can read more in the Book Lab 257.

Most of us believe that Bb is a major player in many major undiagnosed disorders and those neurological problems like MS, one of the most misdiagnosed conditions today.

Some people with Lyme disease will have flu-like symptoms with or without a rash. These symptoms may include:

Lack of energy, which is the most common symptom.
Headache and stiff neck.
Fever and chills.
Muscle and joint pain.
Swollen lymph nodes

Late stage Lyme symptoms will include

Partial facial nerve paralysis which usually occurs within the first few months after the tick bite or infection.
Neurologic changes, including problems with memory, mood, or sleep, and sometimes problems speaking.

While most Medical doctors will treat Lyme with antibiotics, antibiotics are only effective in early stages of the disease. Chronic sufferers will experience little relief if it is diagnosed in the later stages of the disease. (Remember that you probably will not have the customary rash associated with a tick bite. It might be as simple as your "moostache" from milk.)

FDIC chief considers tapping Treasury for funds

Now this may seem off topic, but it is of major concern for the upcoming health care "reform."

The U.S. is in deep financial trouble (duh) and all of this talk about a recovery is poppycock (I always wanted to say that). What really gripes me is this constant reference to the "Fed" and the FDIC as government agencies. They are not government agencies! They are private corporations without any oversight from the U.S. Government at all, yet they act as though they are.

And they do it with our money! Your congress is pilfering every last drop of money and that green paper in your pocket is nothing but fiat...worthless paper scrip.

Our financial security and our children's future is being rapidly and systematically defrauded by these fraudulent "government" agencies. These corporations are nothing more than arms of the banking trusts that have, as their agenda, total control of world economies.

A perfect example is the latest news that the FDIC may "borrow" money from the Treasury due to the projected failure of more banks through 2013! In May, the Treasury extended the FDIC loan guarantees from 30 billion to 100 billion. (Read the full article here.)

If the Federal Reserve and the FDIC are allowed to further plunder your children's future then where will we turn when the 775 billion dollar health care plan emerges from Congress? Make no mistake. These profiteers fully intend to pass this legislation with or without your consent. This is nothing more than a final takeover of every right you have left.

When President Johnson pushed Medicare through in his War on Poverty (a dismal failure) he cautioned congress not to mention the true figures for the cost or the bill would die in Congress. So they lied to the people by omission and look what we have now.

Deceased Senator Everett Dirkson once observed "A million here. A million there. Pretty soon you're talking about a lot of money."

Ever notice how these "representatives" refer to tax cuts? "How are we going to pay for it?" Is this not the dumbest question you ever heard? One doesn't "pay" for a cut! How long are we going to allow this fraud to continue?

If you think healthcare is bad now wait until the government runs it! Medicare is broke. Social Security is broke. The banking system is broke. The Treasury is broke.

When is this insanity going to stop? I want to know...How ARE we going to pay for it?

Sept. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Former U.S. President Bill Clinton predicted that Barack Obama would prevail in his bid to win passage of his health-care initiative and that some Republican senators likely would support the legislation.

Remember that guy who ran on "change?" So let's see. We have half of the Clinton Administration in office(s). We're about to get their idea of healthcare reform crammed down our throats because you will be fined if you don't get it (that's really a change for the better). The Medicare system is broke and broken so let's just add another 775 billion to the national debt.

The Washington answer is any change is better than nothing. Where do these people come from? Folks, anytime Big Pharma supports Washington, you better put your hands on your derriere and protect your sphyncter muscle.

The answer is stop fee for service healthcare. How many people have come to me and said "The doctors ran every conceivable test and everything was normal?" That's because fee for service encourages over testing.

Ever notice, if you google a disease, every single one is "incurable?" What do these people study in med' school?

Cuba exports more doctors to third world countries than any other nation! Hmmmm.

Another answer to healthcare is stop selling poison to everyone. The Hippocratic oath used to read "I will give no poison." It also used to say "I will perform no abortions."

They can't say that anymore. St. Thomas Aquinas was walking with one of his students through the splendor of Renaissance Rome and commented to Aquinas "We can no longer say 'Gold and silver have I none.'"

St. Thomas then responded "Yes, and we can no longer say 'Rise up and walk.'"

We have become Rome and if we don't do something fast...I mean FAST, we are in deep do do. Doctors need to become diagnosticians again and not pill pushers. The government needs to enact changes in how our foods are processed and sold. The FDA needs to become what it was intended to be and not a front for the drug companies.

Anyone remember thalidamide? Remember the children born without limbs? President Kennedy was enraged and made substantial changes to the FDA (which were promptly undermined).

Until we get rid of every single one of these profiteers who call themselves our representatives, we will continue to get exactly what we deserve...the best government money can buy.

I mean vote everyone of them out of office and do it FAST. We need to make changes. NOT their idea of change, but ours. If we don't do it, we will never "rise up and walk." We will forever be on our knees wondering what happened to the Republic that was these United States.

Here we go again. The government is proposing a 1 cent tax on every ounce of soda pop you drink to help fight obesity. Now there's a novel approach. Taxes! Read the AP article here.

Disregard the fact that American food is laden with every chemical, hormone and anti biotic ever invented. Why not do what most countries (like Holland, for example) do. Do not allow additives in food. What a novel idea. Food that is actually... food.

But, in Washington's warped minds (assuming lawyers actually have minds and hearts) taxing a problem is far and away the best answer to everything. Does anyone remember why we fought a little thing called the Revoluntionary War? It was all over King George trying to levy a tea tax of 1/4 of 1 percent!

We are overfed and under nourished. When Diana and I went to her former homeland of the Netherlands, I could not believe the taste of their food. It was awesome. You can actually eat a salad without dressing because it tasted so good! In two weeks of eating about everything in sight (including beer which I normally do not drink) I lost 12 pounds. Is this simple or what?

Incidentally, the best calzone I have ever eaten was just outside of Antwerp. Go figure.

Nada. Zip. Zero. Nothing about the quality of food except high fat, high salt diets.

Anyway, let's talk about getting our food supply fixed. Ah, but I forgot, Monsanto and the rest of the purveyors of poison would lose money and we can't have that.

The Fairy Tales of Statin drugs

Everytime I see someone on statin drugs for cholesterol I want to scream. It's all part of a 100 year lie perpetrated by Big Pharma to sell drugs for a symptom that simply isn't the issue in heart related deaths.

This is a 26 billion dollar industry and the drug companies will do anything they can to hang on to this one. Fortunately, people are catching on. In a recent 4,500-patient study it failed to prove that patients who had just suffered heart attacks were helped by treatment with high doses of Merck's Zocor. You can read one article here.

So let's quickly talk about what truly is at issue here. As you age, your body begins to produce more cholesterol to protect your cardiovascular system. But, as you age you also begin to produce more oxidation (the "rusting" of your red blood cells) and this can begin to produce homocysteine. This amino acid can be a risk factor for cornary artery disease by contributing to atherosclerotic placgue in the arteries.

This can be prevented in several ways, one of which is increase your levels of anti-oxidants such as pinebark or grape seed extract. Try to purchase one of these with at least 85% concentrations of oligomer proanthocyanidins (OPC's for short).

If LDL's and HDL's are out of balance (LDL's higher than HDL's) you have a niacin deficiency. Try 500 mgs of niacinamide (as inositol hexanicotinate) 2x daily and watch your numbers change dramatically.

Also, hormone imbalances will cause elevated triglycerides and these should also be checked at least once a year. My favorite lab is ZRT labs in Beaverton, Oregon. You can receive more information here. These are accurate and inexpensive. These are also the most important tests you will ever run on yourself if you want to stay healthier and happier longer. (In New York and California you are too dumb to spit and you will need a practitioner of some sort to order these for you...even a chiropractor can do it).

Now I can't tell you to get off statin drugs because your doctor has prescribed it, but I can and will tell you to stop believeing the stories and fairy tales the drug companies have been telling you and check out what I am telling you.

Come to think of it, the drug companies really should be writing fairy tales because they have been so good at it.

The facts about HPV Vaccines

It was sad to hear of Patrick Swayze's passing yesterday. Sad for many reasons not the least of which is he was a genuinely nice person. (Who can forget the "penny scene" in Ghost?) But, it was sad because it exposes how little has really been done to cure cancer after the billions of dollars that have been sunk into so-called research.

I predict (I love this part) that they never will cure cancer! Duh.

One of the difficulties I have with drug companies is the aggressive manner in which they market their products. They themselves will admit that all their products will do is limit or control symptoms. They will not cure anything.

That should come as no surprise. They are after all selling a product and the more one uses it the more profits they make.

Recent marketing has centered on vaccines. These are seen as massive profit centers for Big Pharma because it is "pitched" as a humanitarian effort by the drug companies. Of particular interest are the people who e-mail me regarding the HPV vaccine. These are usually parents who are concerned about their children.

I have listed below the most criticisms leveled by scientists and yes, my next favorite group, lawyers.

The criticisms made have included:

Safety: In a study published August 19, 2009, researchers reviewed reports of over 12,000 adverse side effects with Gardasil from June 2006 through December 2008. Of these adverse events, about 6% resulted in hospitalization, permanent disability or death.

The most common symptoms reported were headache, nausea, fainting and dizziness. In addition to 32 deaths reported, there were 8 reports of anaphylactic reaction, 9 reports of deep vein thrombosis, 31 reports of Guillain-Barre syndrome (a rare, life-threatening nervous system disorder), 6 cases of pancreatitis, and 14 cases of pulmonary embolism.

The researchers did not find that Gardasil caused the patient deaths. However, they also noted that any conclusions on the safety of Gardasil were limited due the possible underreporting of adverse events.
Effectiveness: Some physicians have questioned whether the vaccine prevents cervical cancer since the FDA approved the drug to protect against certain strains of HPV that can cause cervical cancer, but not all cancer-causing strains of HPV.
Marketing: Researchers have criticized Merck for maximizing the threat of cervical cancer to adolescents and minimizing that HPV is transmitted through sexual activity. A physician involved in clinical trials of Gardasil stated last year that Merck's marketing has been "so aggressive" that the company has "created a sense of panic that says you have to have this vaccine now."

I can't legally tell you what to do or not to do, but the death of one child is one too many for me. I would council my daughter and son to never never take any HPV vaccine and do what they have always done...abstain.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water (cellos play deep threatening sounds) seven out of ten beaches in Seattle's Puget Sound. More about it here.

MRSA, for those who are not aware may prove to be the real pandemic for which there is no vaccine...at least that anyone will tell you about. Methicillin resistant staph aureus is barely treatable by conventional methods with an IV drip of vancomyecin and that may not work. Additionally, it is highly communicable. The truth is, MRSA has morphed because of our continuing overuse of antibiotics. We've known we were playing with fire for a long time, but we continue to do so.

Well, there is a way to combat it. While we were in LA, this past weekend, Diana came down with an e-coli infection. We had to check out early and she was in serious pain. When we reached home, we put her on hourly Sovereign Silver and within two hours, she was fine.

The same can be said for MRSA. So our suggestion is that if you suspect a bacterial infection, take 1 tbsp of silver on the hour and 1 probiotic 30 minutes later and continue this routine until you are certain the infection is over.

In the meantime, be very cautious where you swim and where you eat. Cook foods thoroughly and drink bottled water when in restaurants.

What to do for the flu

While some people are wringing their hands about what to do about the "pandemic" let's look at some choices you have.

The obligatory FDA disclaimer: None of this is to be considered medical advice. Seek the advice of a medical doctor for professional help.

My choice for prevention is colostrum. Often called natures' first food, colostrum is available in several forms, most commonly capsules and powders. I prefer capsules for convenience and take 2 caps in the morning and evening. Colostrum is full of immune builders (Immunoglobulin) and growth factors. While only a drug, according to the FDA, will prevent or cure a disease (no one has managed to tell me what has been cured due to drug use) colostrum stands out as one of the first lines of defense and is very inexpensive. I do prefer brands from New Zealand because their livestock have no hormones or anti-biotics.

My second choice but far not a second rated supplement, is Sambucol in the Original Formula. Formulated by an Israeli virologist in Jerusalem, it is part of the Israeli military protocol. During flu season 1 tablespoon daily is recommended. For "intensive use" 1 tablespoon 4x daily is recommended.

Sambucol is available over the counter in health food stores, most grocery stores and pharmacies in the cold and flu aisle. It is inexpensive. Diana likes the stuff. For me, it's too sweet and I have to "cut it" with ice water. But, it works for me.

According to the Associated Press "Americans who don't get health insurance once the system is overhauled would be fined up to $3,800 under a proposal that circulated in Congress on Tuesday as Democratic leaders cast doubt on prospects for creating a government-run insurance plan."

I can just hear the lawyers in Congress. "OK. we'll make 'em buy it." Well, what do we expect from these guys? Tort reform? Nah. We need an overhaul so badly, we'll fine you even though you may not have a job. Better yet, we'll put you in jail for not paying the fine. Then we'll confiscate your children because you're a bad parent for not buying the health insurance you couldn't afford anyway.

Makes sense to me.

I keep getting e-mails about my thoughts on vaccines. Is anyone reading here?

The World Health Organization has openly admitted, according to their website, that they have been working to "explore a broad range of issues surrounding the regulatory approval of pandemic vaccines" since 2007 - two years before the emergence of the novel swine flu. One method used in Europe's advance studies was to create a "mock-up" vaccine that uses an active ingredient for a flu virus that has not recently circulated in humans. This method makes it very easy to release the virus to the public in an effort to "greatly expedite regulatory approval."

Now they are asking you to get your shots (maybe two or three) to protect you against their own invention. Now, let me see. Yeah that works. Worse, several states have actually declared, in essence, marshal law on the American People who refuse to get the shot. I thought the Iron Curtain fell in 1981!

Here's what we should ask for from our "representatives" in Congress...the same retirement they get. NOT Social Security. They get their salaries until they die. You get maybe $1000 a month.

They get all inclusive health insurance for $300 a month. You get "reform" and loss of rights. I just heard from a mom who, after checking into the dangerous side effects of Remacaid, took her 4 year old off the chemo drug. He gained weight. He grew taller. He is doing well.

The doctors called in child protective services because the mom was "endangering the child."

Doesn't the word "reform" remind you of the typical rhetoric used by dictators? That's what Lenin, Stalin and Hitler called it. Welcome to the New World Order.

I agree we need some serious changes, but I do not want what this Congress is offering. If they cared about their constituents they would make real changes. But, folks, these are almost all lawyers. They can't make things simple. Their jobs require complication because that's how they think.

If they can't scare you into getting the shot then they will legislate it and make it illegal if you don't!

Healing Not Dealing

This is the first blog for BioCytonics. I hope you enjoy it and find it helpful and interesting. It's a great way for us all to keep in touch a bit faster than the newsletter and more interactive.

I hope you are all enjoying the long Labor Day weekend. For many of you though, it isn't a holiday to celebrate as unemployment reaches 10% (it's actually higher than the Government admits.) What's really worse is we find our "representatives" in Washington debating about health care reform which a.) is not reform at all and b.) won't matter to those who have no job. Either way, it won't be free.

If the Medicare system will be broke (which it already is) by 2013, what makes anyone think that by adding more to the debt ridden system it will actually make any difference? We are in the beginnings of a debt meltdown that will make the Great Depression look like a cakewalk.

So let me add a little fact or two that will set the stage for I believe can be true healthcare reform.

#1. Which nation exports more doctors to more countries in the world?
Answer: Cuba

#2 Which nation cures more chronic illness than any in this hemisphere?
Answer: Cuba

The question should be why? Well, first I am not advocating we move to Cuba nor that we use Cuba as a medical model. God knows they have their problems! But, their medical system abandoned fee for service with the Castro Revolution. A Cuban Doctor is paid exactly the same as a street cleaner so the incentive to over treat, over test, over medicate, is not there. Hmmm.

Fee for service is the blight of our health care system. A doctor has no incentive (like Cuba) to get a patient back to health quickly. In fact, his incentive is to run more tests which will likely all come back normal anyway. There are no diagnosticians today. They are testers and drug dealers.

Heck, you pay a Doctor if he just pokes his head in your room. Something wrong here, folks.

Remember when the family practitioner was the poorest guy in town? That was because he practiced healing not dealing. I am not saying a doctor shouldn't be paid, but he should be paid to heal not deal.

Additionally, we have created an elitist system that was never intended by the founding fathers. The elitists are our supposed representatives in Congress. They face no chance of unemployment since we have proved we won't throw the bums out. They have health care plans that cost them $300.00 a month with no pre-existing clauses.

Congressman Darrell Issa (California 49th District) has introduced a simple 6 page bill in Congress (in contrast to the 1,000 page bill being introduced) seeking to give all Americans the same health care system he gets...and why not?

The elitists in Congress are not supposed to have more than the people they represent. But, they do. Keep in mind that Congress is made up of lawyers. What does that tell you?

If we paid Congress, like we pay doctors, by the word (which is how we pay lawyers), we would be in deeper poo poo than we are already. (Don't even get me started on Tort reform).

Furthermore, for a nation of pill poppers like the U.S., who consume 50% of the world's pharmaceuticals, we should be incredibly healthy yet the World Health Organization lists us as dead last in overall health. (Of course, that's from the guys who have given us our very own "pandemic"...again).

America's health care system spends more, for worse results, than that of any other advanced country.

The system is not sustainable nor can we afford to continue down the path to $9,000,000,000,000 deficits. I purposely show you the zeros because this is nuts! Right now, every man, woman and child in the U.S. owes $34,000. Pay up you sluggards!

You work for Uncle Sam!

We need true health care...not sick care. We need a responsible government. (Actually, we need a government we actually elected)!

Start healing and stop the dealing.
